Description
I love driving the Heritage Corridor to Charleston, especially when cotton is blooming. The scenic route is my favorite way to travel! I wanted to paint the softness of cotton but in a way that brought bold color into it, and this painting is the result. The original painting is sold to a collector in Texas.

Thanks, Debra! This is one of my favorites, and I'm sure you know as an artist how wonderful it feels when someone else likes it enough to collect it. Life as an artist is amazing, because I am blessed to get to paint, and others feel blessed when they get to enjoy the painting :-)

Thank you! I'm so happy that another collector is enjoying this piece, in a much larger size than the original. I hope it will bring out the best textures and nuances of this paintins are. The unpredictable effects that come from my pastels or brushes always surprises me, and in this painting, the cotton plants beg a viewer to touch them! Isn't it a wonderful compliment and honor to know you've been able to bring some beauty into a collector's life? Loved looking at your photos, Kathy and Joyce! It's evident in your work that you love capturing special subjects to help the rest of us pay closer attention.
