This scene isinspired from one of the many treks my family loves to make to historic sites. We've visited Charles Towne Landing often, and this time it was warm enough to enjoy a walk even in January, though the marsh grass donned its winter coat. The wildlife is abundant at Charles Towne and continually delights us in this mild winter climate. Just around the bend, only yards away, the replica ketch The Adventure is docked. The frame is a beautiful dark, heavy frame that makes the viewer feel he is under the shadow of the massive Spanish-moss draped oak.
